I don't really like it. It is very hard to follow and if mr S wasn't there to help me through it and understand it, than I wouldn't of gotten the story at all. I would if only of gotten the scenes when there wasn't a flashback. And that was mostly the whole book.
I don't think that it was necessary to kill himself. He should have just waited to die naturally. He made up with his children and they all said that they would do better and try harder in life. But they actually can't because willy failed as a parent.
I really like the part when biff saw willy in Boston cheating on his wife. And then willy gave the girl the moms stockings. And that's what really ticked off biff. Made biff want to never want to see his dad again. That's why he never went to summer school just to make his dad mad but instead, in return it only hurt biff. And screwed up his whole life.
Then there was happy. He just screwed all the girls he possibly could. Even his boss's wives. That I think takes balls. And he isn't scared about taking chances in life and that's why I like happy the best. That's also why I think Arthur miller played with the idea of the name "happy". He's happy not because he has a lot of sex. But because he takes chances in life and that's what makes him happy.

I think we all strive for achievement in life. Who actually wants to be a failure. A bum. A hobo. A shit stain on the underwear of life. I know I don't want to be. I want to be a state trooper making around 100k a year. Having fun with my family 4.(not including my Victoria secret model wife)

Can you go back to the past. Obviously not. But crazy Gatsby thinks he can. He is so madly in love with daisy he think he can go back in time to Louisville, Kentucky and marry her. "Can't repeat the past...why of course you can" says Gatsby to Nick. I'm only 16 years old and don't really love any women except the ones in my family. So I wouldn't really want to go back in time. Or at least go through the struggle to try and recreate the past, just for a women. But Gatsby is in love with her and will do anything to get her. Even if it means destroying a perfect marriage between Daisy and Tom Buchanan. Talk about a home wrecker. Douce bag.

If I had the resources I would go as far as possible for a girl. Like if I was a billionaire, then I would spend as much money as I possibly could. You know, why not. If I bought a massive house just for this women, and in the end I didn't get her. I would still have a sick, massive house and throw parties every day and night while I still get my income from my stocks -.- . "Gatsby bought that house so that daisy would be just across the bay." Gatsby knows what's good. Buying a big ass house just so that this girl would realize it, see that there is a massive party going on and by the slightest chance she would crash the party and see gatsby again, find out that its his house and his. And in the end they would get back together and fall in love with him. Bullet proof plan.

Nick can't handle his liquor. When he gets intoxicated he starts thinking a lot. He takes a step back and looks at the bigger picture. "I was within and without." This being only his second time drinking. Almost like him saying he stepped out of his head and could see in like third person. Like a video game. Like he can control himself from a different perspective. That's when you know you are really shitted. When you can see your life from outside your body. But while he was "outside" his body and watching himself sit there, he thought to himself that the party was stupid but at the same time exquisite. Sometimes when I have a few sodas, i can get like this. I just think outside the box. Just sit back and look at everything thats going on. Just thinking not even knowing whats going on. Making up weird things and just believing what I'm telling myself.

Harry is a douche bag. The way he treats his wife is extremely incorrect. I know that he is dying from gain green, and he is in an extreme amount of pain. But he doesn't have to treat his wife like shit. He makes fun of her because of the extreme amount of money that she has. He says things like he was only in a relationship with her because of her money. But in the long run if you look back her money is the cause of his death in a way. If he never married her then he would maybe never of had the money to go to Africa and explore the jungle, get scraped by a thorn and then let his pride get to him not to sanitize his tiny scratch, get gain green and die.
